Our participants are a mix of farmers, scholars, and community organizers with expertise in livestock agriculture and related subjects. All of them have thought deeply about the place of farms in our society. Many gain their living from working the land. Although their roles, approaches, and contributions vary, they are bound by common pursuit of sustainable and ethical practices that promise to improve the lives of producers and consumers alike.
